Devotional Day 6, Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Today in chapel, we have a lot of sweet stuff planned.

  • We have a guest helping to lead songs of worship. His name is Jamie Niven and he is the youth pastor at The Meeting Place church in downtown Winnipeg.
  • We will be kicking off Operation Christmas Child again for this year.
  • You’ll enjoy our first chapel drama of the year.
  • Today’s message is Be the One. We’ll be considering the people that stories are written about. They have extraordinary lives, but most characters start out as very ordinary. But by choosing to do the right thing in a small decision, they become the one to change the world. You too can be the one. . .

Teach me your decrees, O Lord;
I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions;
I will put them into practice with all my heart.
Make me walk along the path of your commands,
for that is where my happiness is found.

~Psalm 119:33-35

Prayer:

Dear God – You’re always teaching us new things and helping us become better people. Help us to pay attention for one thing that you want to teach us in chapel today. Thanks.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
