TERM 1: PROJECT - THE MAD MATTER PROJECT. happened on October 19th, 2011, Wednesday, Day 1. The event went very well with 22 different variations for 'mad matter' being presented. Each mad matter product was given a sales pitch by its makers. The sales pit:00ches ranged from hilarious video spoofs, energetic infomercial knock-offs, dramatizations, to a reading of the list of attributes of the product. The products themselves were as varied as the students. Some glowed in the dark, some bounced really well, they came in a wide variety of colours, and smells... let's not forget the various perfumed samples :)! It was fantastic to see such creative science in action! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS!
A special congratulations to this years MAD MATTER MASTERS! Step aside Bill Nye, here comes Hannah & Amanda! Their Mad Matter Product bounced 6 times and liquified in 47 seconds! It truly was both a solid and a liquid! CONGRATULATIONS!
TERM 2: PROJECT - THE AIR QUALITY INITIATIVE PROJECT. is a group presentation project. Please see the pdf for full details. The class dates for the projects have been completed. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STUDENTS for there great projects, and systematic thinking through the issues.
