Class of '89

“Good I love it!” Although the well-worn quote from our high school years only resurfaced once during the reunion, it was a sentiment enjoyed by those that came to see how much better looking everyone had become! Two dozen of the finest alumni 1989 had to offer enjoyed the festivities on November 14 & 15. Winn City Pub was the Friday night stop where some of the first to arrive had trouble recognizing two of the reunion’s fabulous organizers, Krista Barkman-Hiebert and Mona Scott (Ewert). A beverage or two was had while the reminiscing began. The stories and memories flowed well into the evening. Winn City’s Golf & Hunting Simulator were huge hits while Paul Dueck, the third illustrious reunion organizer, was totally schooled by Jodi Dyck at darts.

We were honoured to have Mary Unruh take us on the school tour on Saturday afternoon. While we debated on the previous locations of the school library, we were amazed to see the phenomenal facilities that MBCI has to offer. We were impressed that several of our teachers, including Fred Pauls and Mr. O were now in leadership positions at “The Institute”. Thanks to Mary and others who helped guide us through the process of putting this event on and providing dessert! Cheers to the grads who came out and to those who filled out the survey and shared their stories!
