Retreats

Retreats are a great way to build new friendships and community with your classmates while trying out new activites. Discover the retreats MBCI offers.

Gr. 6

You'll have the opportunity to experience two days at Camp Arnes during the last week of school. While at camp, you have the chance to relate with your teachers and classmates in a way that is entirely different from the classroom. This overnight experience is the ideal place to connect on a more personal level, in a more relaxed atmosphere.

While at camp, you'll try a variety of outdoor activities including the climbing wall, the zip line, horseback riding, swimming, orienteering, team building games, human foosball and a hayride. It's the perfect way to end the year together.

Outdoor Education

In Gr. 8 you will participate in a three day retreat to Red Rock Bible Camp at the start of the school year. During this retreat you will explore many activities such as mountain biking, orienteering, wall climbing, canoeing, archery and much more. New relationships and community building are promoted during these many activities and during meal times, free time and chapel.

Grad Retreat

A tradition you'll get to take part in as a Gr. 12 student is attending Grad Retreat. This is a time where the Gr. 12 class gathers together to reflect on the future and work on spiritual formation. You will attend sessions led by a guest speaker and worship together. There will also be lots of time to spend tubing, cross-country skiing, skating, playing hockey, broomball or indoor games, and many other group activities. Variety Night is always one of the highlights of the weekend as you get to show off some creativity!
